This two-day workshop is open to aspiring principals, APs, deans and even current principals who want to take their career to the next level! Whether you are in the market to land your first job as an administrator or you are currently an administrator looking for interview practice, this day will be of significant benefit. The entire day is facilitated by MASSP Board members, MASSP staff and practicing Superintendents. You will have the opportunity to learn about current hot topics in the field as administrators facilitate breakout sessions. You will learn more about the work of the Principal from various Board members- exploring the roles of Assistant Principal and Principal at both the Middle and HS level. You will have the chance to work on your interview skills in small groups, receiving one on one feedback from Principals and Superintendents who will critique your responses and offer feedback on how to strengthen your answers. Prior to the workshop you will have the option to turn in your cover letter and resume for review and it will be returned the day of the event.
MASSP's Aspiring Principals workshop is a great investment in your future as an aspiring administrator. The Administrators that give up their time on a Saturday to facilitate this workshop believe deeply in the profession and are committed to helping to grow and support the next generation of building principals. Every year we hear back from workshop participants who are hired for Administrative positions following the workshop- you can be next!
