Overview:

This conference seeks to address concerns about the perceived lack of flexibility in the Michigan Merit Curriculum. The keynote, presentations and question and answer sessions will shed new light on already existing MMC flexibility options and a number of potential ways to help all students to acquire the required credits as they pursue programs of interest.  Members of the Michigan Department of Education Staff will speak to allowable options in terms of credits, course titles, standards, EDPs, Personal Curriculum and pupil accounting requirements.

During the closing session, there will be facilitated discussion about the future of the Michigan Merit Curriculum and input will be gathered from attendees about what might be best for Michigan’s students moving forward.
