  3. AP Fellows Guiding Principles

Knowing expertise can’t be given, only developed, the AP Fellowship is designed to support emerging and advancing administrators through mentoring, coaching, and action research to expand leadership capacity toward Principalship and district leadership.

  1. Foster a connected network of educational leaders who collaborate, learn, and inspire one another, ultimately shaping the future of education in our state. Participants will gain insight into leadership and problem-solving from fellow leaders, their districts, and state leaders as they solve challenging issues facing our field.
  2. Challenge participants to develop a vision of equity-driven leadership to transform schools.
  3. Challenge participants to build a reflective practice for themselves, with their colleagues, and with their school community.
  4. Challenge participants to engage in shared work with school system leaders and peers to identify professional growth areas to enhance their practice.
  5. Challenge participants to see their role as instructional leaders driving a school culture that prioritizes post-secondary planning and opportunity for all students.
