MASSP launched a new website in January of 2019. We provided an overview video to help introduce all of the new features, so as you get back into the swing of things we wanted to highlight a few key areas that may be of interest to you as an Assistant Principal:

  • You must be logged into the website to access everything it has to offer. If you do not know your log in or have any difficulties, please call the MASSP office and we will get you connected (517) 327-5315.

  • Resource Center – This section of the website includes the "Principals Toolbox" along with the archive of our Tech Bytes and Podcast features. The Toolbox is a wealth of information and resources on a wide range of topics- anything from PSAT/SAT to our Monthly Principal's Checklists.

  • Professional Development – Did you know you can register for an event all online? No need to call the office- if you have a district credit card you can register and pay when it is convenient for you. MASSP offers a wide array of both in-person and online learning opportunities to help busy administrators to continue to grow as professionals.

  • Networking & Outreach – The Member Forum and the Directory Search are available to help you connect with MASSP members from across the state. The Member Forum allows you to post a question and get responses from your colleagues. Are you wondering what other schools are doing in terms of consequences for vaping? Would you like to know if anyone has an idea or a solution for a problem you've encountered? Post it on the Forum! It is password protected so only MASSP members can post and respond. The Directory allows you to find colleagues by name, position or by school.

As Assistant Principals, you may not have the opportunity to get out of the building to attend PD, get legislative updates and to network with colleagues. It can be a lonely job at times.  Keep yourself from feeling isolated by becoming an active member of MASSP by accessing information, posting on the Forum and following @massp on Twitter and Facebook.
