This webinar will serve as an introduction to the Cambridge program for secondary schools. It will cover the unique interdisciplinary courses that Cambridge offers at the High School level and include the research on how these courses improve SAT scores. The webinar will also show the flexibility of Cambridge, allowing schools to “stack” courses in a multi-year sequence to build Diploma programs, Academy models, CTE pathways, and International programs in Language, Culture, and History. The session will include an interactive activity for participants that will showcase the Innovative project-based Global Perspectives and Research course, which can be offered at all levels of the Cambridge program.

What is Cambridge International?

The Cambridge Pathway helps learners be ready for the world, offering five stages of education from age 3 to 19, leading seamlessly from early years to pre-university. Each stage can build on the previous and further shape learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills. Schools can select which stages they provide and choose from a broad range of subjects. This means they can design a curriculum that meets their needs and excites their students. Every stage – Cambridge Early Years, Primary, Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary and Advanced – helps prepare learners to thrive in and outside the classroom, and at university and beyond.

Cambridge Advanced (International AS & A Level): High school students build knowledge, skills and confidence with college-level Cambridge Advanced courses. Cambridge students can also receive college credit, placement, and recognition at over 1,000 institutions across the U.S., and many more internationally. With over 55 Cambridge Advanced subjects available, schools may offer a range of both core academic and career-focused courses, giving students the opportunity to earn the prestigious Cambridge AICE Diploma. As a global organization with a 160-year history as part of the University of Cambridge, Cambridge International Education provides world-class curriculum, assessments and resources designed to help students from PreK-12 develop the academic, technical and employability knowledge and skills they need for success in college and careers.

We offer over 50 advanced courses at the high school level in a wide range of subjects (CTE, humanities, languages, STEAM) that are taught by your teachers. We are another option that can sit alongside your existing college programs in high school. We also offer English as a second language courses, assessments, and professional development – which can help your ESL students thrive.

Recent studies show that Cambridge students perform better on course exams than AP or IB students. And three of our core courses: English General Paper, Global Perspectives, and Thinking Skills have been shown to increase average SAT scores for first time test takers.
