As high school students gain opportunities to earn college credit and career credentials while in high school a students 7-12 plan has become increasingly important and challenging to navigate. The days of having a one size fits all 8th grade parent night and/or curriculum night are simply not enough to help families maximize the opportunities students have available. Listen in as three current/former principals discuss the bumps in the road they have encountered as they navigated this process for their own children and how it can inform improvements that may need to be made to how parents/students schedule starting in 7th and 8th grade.
Dr. Erica Orians, Vice President at the Michigan Community College Association will join the webinar to share a +1 to this picture providing information on the 10 transfer pathways at the community college level that allow students to earn 60 credits with transfer to a bachelor’s degree program, how to earn college credit in high school, and tips to navigate the Michigan Transfer Network at www.mitransfer.org.
MASSP Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made ten (10) business days or more in advance of the training date, will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made after this date, including no-shows, are nonrefundable. Registration fees may be transferred to another individual by contacting the MASSP office at (517) 327-5315.
In the event that MASSP must cancel a training due to unforeseen circumstances, including inclement weather, participants will be refunded the cost of registration or may credit the fee toward an upcoming training. MASSP does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging.
