Khan Webinar Series

Khan Academy isn’t just for math anymore! The College Board has partnered with Khan Academy to provide free Official SAT Practice to all Michigan students. The remediation is personalized to each student’s strengths and weaknesses - extending to both the ELA and Math portions of the assessment - and teachers have the ability to monitor student progress. In addition, there are lesson plans and assignment functions for teachers within the Official SAT Practice site. MASSP is proud to present a 2-part webinar series that will explain the in's and out's of this game-changing system lead by Khan Academy Ambassador, resident guru and Super-user, Erin Carlson, a classroom English Teacher at Sandusky Jr./Sr. High School.

In this webinar, participants will learn how to:

  • Create a Khan Academy account and class
  • Add students and lessons
  • Explore lesson content (videos, practice, quizzes and tests)
  • View and edit reports to see individual or whole class activity and success

Why should you be using Khan Academy?

It’s simple. Students who spend more time in Khan Academy have improved PSAT/NMSQT & SAT scores.  In fact, according to the College Board, spending 20 hours studying Official SAT practice on Khan Academy leads to an average 115 point score gain.  Out of 250,000 test takers, 16,000 showed gains of 200 points or more on the PSAT/NMSQT & SAT.  Don’t let your students miss out! Visit massp.com/KhanWebinar for more details on how to register for one of the webinars.
