When: November 15, 2019
Where: Kellogg Center

Cost: $250

As women attending District, League, County and Statewide leadership meetings we are, occasionally the only and, frequently one of the few females in the room. There are unique challenges for women leading in today’s complex educational environment.

This conference seeks to provide a unique opportunity for female building and central office leaders to network, build skill sets and lead forward. Although the number of female leaders in education has seen a slight increase at the building level the percentage remains disproportionate in secondary schools and central office. As the statewide associations for principals and superintendents, we recognize the importance of building leadership capacity to increase the number of women in leadership positions.

Sheila Alles, Chief Deputy State Superintendent, Michigan Department of Education
