We are excited to announce a new virtual training course, Developing Investigative Interviewing Skills for School Administrators (formerly known as "Are You Sure They're Telling The Truth?". Over the past several decades this training program has been presented as an in-person course to numerous education associations, including Illinois, Oregon, Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Wisconsin, and others. We are now offering the course as a 6-hour virtual program in an effort to make it more accessible to school administrators around the country.
Principals, Assistant Principals, Deans and other school administrators oftentimes are called upon to conduct investigations of students, and in some cases staff, regarding involvement in inappropriate, and in some cases illegal, behaviors or activities. In this 6-hour virtual training program, you will learn how to structure the investigative interview, how to evaluate the credibility of the subject’s behavior, and in those instances in which the investigative information identifies the offender, how to create an environment conducive to the subject telling the truth about what they did.
- Behavior Symptom Analysis
- The Behavior Analysis Interview
- Positive Persuasion
- In each segment, we will show videotapes of actual interviews and persuasion efforts to illustrate the material.
- Each participant will be emailed a 25-page, digital workbook, and at the conclusion of the program a Certificate that reflects 6 hours of continuing professional education credits for attending the course.
