The MASSP Secretary Series brings support on hot topics right to their desktop! We know school administrative assistants, registrars and attendance secretaries would benefit from information and time to collaborate virtually with those in like positions around the state. Making the time for these sessions can be a challenge so we have varied the schedule and each webinar is limited to two hours...all sessions will be recorded for viewing when convenient as well.

During this session, you will learn the general flow of process from testing to case investigation to contact tracing for people who test positive for COVID in Michigan. The presenters will cover the basics of timelines, case investigations questions, roles and responsibilities, how contact tracing is initiated, tools and resources available to cases and contacts, and how these programs fit Michigan guidelines to control the epidemic.

Prior to entering school administration Susan was a nurse in the neonatal unit and brings both a school and health care perspective to this challenging task. Scheduling Zoom meetings and helping to facilitate might be one of your responsibilities. This session will start with Zoom 101 and move into more advanced features. Ryan will also share facilitation ideas to encourage discussion and collaboration as well as how to ensure your Zoom meetings look professional and well planned.

Everyone knows that the school secretary is key to running the school! But you cannot run it effectively if you are running on empty. This session will offer easy ways to find that work/life balance and will also provide ways to practice self-care to maintain your sanity!

February 24: Year-End Event Planning

As the pandemic continues to run its course schools need to start planning now for virtual and hybrid year-end events. MASSP will assemble a panel of Middle and High School Administrators to share the creative ways they were able to honor and recognize student and staff accomplishments. Everything from staff retirements to commencement, eighth grade graduation, athletic recognition and transition opportunities will be included.

In this session, learners will explore a variety of ways to maximize efficiency using tools from Gmail, Google Calendar & Google Drive that promotes organization, communication and collaboration. Basic & advanced features will be showcased during this session.

Option 2:
- Student Information System Tech Tips Featuring Skyward, PowerSchool, Infinite Campus (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
Attendees will select a breakout with representatives from Skyward, Infinite Campus and Powerschool. The Representatives will review changes in their SIMS System, preview upcoming upgrades and answer any questions participants may have.
- Collaborative Sharing (Optional 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Participants will have the opportunity to join small group breakout rooms to discuss SIMS shortcuts and helpful tips they have created/encountered in their own work.
