Do you have a graduating senior? Have you been an MASSP member (Professional level or higher) in good standing for at least three years? You're in luck! The MASSP Board of Directors offers scholarship opportunities each year to college-bound high school seniors.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduating senior at a Michigan public high school or private high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Dependent of an MASSP member (Professional, Professional Plus or Executive Level members only) in good standing (for at least 3 years). Note: Children of MASSP staff or members of the selection committee are not eligible.
  • Will attend a public community/junior college, four-year degree-granting institution, or vocational training institution that grants a degree, certification or license.
  • Will be enrolled as a full-time student (in accordance with the institution where enrolled at).
  • Required information, documentation and application scoring rubric

Process / Results: 

  • Scholarship recipients can expect to be notified of the outcome of their application by the last week of April.
  • Priority will be given on the basis of academic achievement, extra curricular activities, and school and community service.
  • Scholarship determination will be made strictly on the merit of the applicant’s performance against the above criteria. The selection and award of scholarships is an objective and nondiscriminatory process.
  • Scholarships will be awarded by the members of the MASSP Scholarship Committee. This body is composed of current members of the MASSP Board of Directors and may additionally include MASSP members.

Application:

Applicants must complete ALL sections of the application form and include ALL required documentation; submitted electronically via Google Form. Do not include any unnecessary documents with the form, such as photographs, news clippings or IRS/income tax information, as they will be disregarded. Separated materials are not accepted. A complete packet must be submitted for consideration. Please review this document before applying
