The MiSSG portal, (Michigan Student Aid: Student Scholarships and Grants), is now accessible for the Academic Year 2024-25. By completing the revised Data Use Agreement (DUA), you can now grant your counselors access to valuable student records, including:

  • FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) completion data
  • TIP (Tuition Incentive Program) eligibility rosters
  • Student look-ups
  • Michigan Achievement Scholarship qualifier lists

Please note the following key points:

  • The MiSSG High School Counselor Portal will be unavailable from Friday, August 16, 2024, and will reopen in early September 2024 for the new academic year.
  • The revised DUA includes separate sections with clear definitions for authorized users:
    • Section 3: Employees of your high school or ISD/RESA/ESA
    • Section 4: Employees of AdviseMI, Michigan College Advising Corp (MCAC), or Michigan State University College Advising Corp (MSUCAC)
    • Section 5: Secondary Partners (community organizations, local college access networks, etc.)
  • All Data Use Agreements must be completed electronically on an annual basis to avoid processing delays. Please submit them via email to mistudentaid@michigan.gov, signed by the authorizing principal/superintendent.
