The deadline for the Governor's FAFSA Challenge is coming up quickly! The contest ends at 11:59pm pm on February 29. Do you know your school's FAFSA completion rate? How is your class of 2020 doing compared to the class of 2019? Statewide, FAFSA completion is down 3% from this time last year, so the answer might surprise you. You can find those answers and see how your building stacks up against others statewide by visiting MCAN's FAFSA Tracker website.

Getting your students to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can have a high return on investment when it comes to post-secondary attainment in your building. To help Principals and other educators promote FAFSA completion, MASSP has put together a toolkit of free resources. Use it, share it, and let's finish strong in helping the class of 2020 maximize their post-secondary opportunities!

A special congratulations to those schools (listed below) that have already hit a 65% FAFSA Completion rate – these schools have received or will receive a framed tribute from Governor Whitmer to display at their school like the one pictured here.
