We are thrilled to announce an expanded opportunity for Path to Leadership completers to earn advanced degrees through partnerships with Western Michigan University and Central Michigan University. Both institutions recognize the high quality of the PTL program and offer an accelerated pathway to earning a Master of Arts, Educational Specialist or Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership.
Through agreements with WMU and CMU, PTL completers can apply 15 credits from their program toward the total credits required for these advanced degrees. This significantly reduces tuition costs, making the degree 50%–75% more affordable than earning it independently. Additionally, required coursework can be completed fully online, providing flexibility for working professionals.
While the Michigan Department of Education requires building leaders to hold a School Administrator Certificate—which is earned upon completing PTL—an advanced degree is not mandatory. However, earning one can enhance your leadership credentials and open additional career opportunities.
