2025-2026 Legislative Priorities
At the beginning of each legislative session, MASSP looks to its members to help set proactive policy priorities. This work begins with a collaboration between the association’s staff and Board of Directors to identify the most pressing issues for building administrators, and concludes with member feedback.
This year, MASSP members identified three broad priority areas and four specific initiatives for removing barriers to innovation and reducing mandates that impede teaching and learning.

- Flexibility in the Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC)
