The Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) is searching for its next Executive Director to lead the organization into its next era of impact and innovation.
MASSP, a 1,800-member strong nonprofit established in 1911, represents Michigan’s high school, career technical education, and middle-level principals and assistant principals. For more than a century, MASSP has been the premier educational association in the state—advancing school leadership, advocating for system-wide improvements, guiding curriculum, and helping transform state standards for the benefit of students, educators, and schools. MASSP is a Michigan nonprofit recognized as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
The Executive Director serves as MASSP’s Chief Executive Officer, responsible for driving the association’s mission—to advance learning through educational leadership—and vision—to be the premier educational association. The role provides strategic oversight of financial sustainability, professional learning, advocacy, and student leadership initiatives. Additionally, the Executive Director represents MASSP at both state and national levels, building partnerships with policymakers, industry leaders, and educational organizations to strengthen education across Michigan.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of school leadership in Michigan and beyond.
