During the session, MDHHS representatives shared current trends in youth tobacco and vaping use and highlighted free, evidence-based prevention and cessation resources available to schools. Participants learned how to access curriculum tools, connect students to quit-support programs, partner with local health departments, and respond to incidents in ways that prioritize education and support over punishment. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask practical questions about implementation and communication with families.
