The SET SEG Foundation Skilled Trade Scholarship provides 20 qualified Michigan high school seniors a
scholarship to further enhance educational opportunities within the skilled trades. Thanks to our generous donors, we have increased the scholarship amount this year to $1,000! With the shortage of
skilled trades workers in Michigan, the goal is to help revitalize the skilled trade career path as well as
provide opportunities for young learners and future generations to develop their skills and expertise in
these areas.
Eligibility for the scholarship:
- Must be a Michigan resident
- Must be a high school senior attending a Michigan public school
- Must have been enrolled in a Career and Technical Education Program (and provide transcript)
- Must be enrolled in or plan to enroll in an accredited two-year college, technical school, or other
accredited technical institute in the next 12 months
Recipients must use scholarship funds for school tuition or certification program costs in the next 12
months.
The SET SEG Skilled Trade Scholarship application is available on SET SEG’s website from February 2-
