MASSP Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made ten (10) business days or more in advance of the training date, will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made after this date, including no-shows, are nonrefundable. Registration fees may be transferred to another individual by contacting the MASSP office at (517) 327-5315.
In the event that MASSP must cancel a training due to unforeseen circumstances, including inclement weather, participants will be refunded the cost of registration or may credit the fee toward an upcoming training. MASSP does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging.

What happens when a principal stops delivering PD and starts designing conditions for teachers to learn from one another? This session shares findings from a doctoral action research study in which CPPLCs — Community of Practice–based PLCs — produced a large practical effect on collective teacher efficacy across 12 math and science teachers. Attendees will use the four-condition CPPLC design model to diagnose their own PLC structures, explore honest findings about what worked and what didn’t, and leave with adaptable artifacts and protocols.

Join Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ Tobacco Section to learn more about their youth tobacco dependence treatment resource and the American Lung Association’s Vape Free Schools Initiative, a comprehensive approach to address youth tobacco, vape and nicotine use. Session will include guidance for tobacco-free policies, alternatives to suspension, cessation and parent resources. This will include an opportunity to join with others as a cross-disciplinary team in a Community of Practice cohort to help Michigan schools “Kick the Nic.”
