Abby joined MASSP as the Communications & Design Specialist in December 2021. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in marketing. Abby has been working in the field of communications since college but began her career in education at Eastern Michigan University as a Marketing Director for Dining Services. There, she realized her passion for working with students and developing programs that enhanced the educational experience. Prior to coming to MASSP, Abby also had the opportunity to work with several national organizations in a marketing and communications capacity. She’s been involved with Make-a-Wish Michigan, Chevrolet, The YMCA, Kona Ice, and several universities in the state. She enjoys graphic design, writing, and developing integrated marketing strategies. Her favorite thing about working for MASSP is that she gets to be creative every day and work across many areas of the association.
Abby lives in Lansing with her boyfriend, David, and two cats, Seiko and Winnie. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, trying out new vegan restaurants, working out, reading, participating in outdoor activities, and spending time with her family. You can also occasionally find her serving up shaved ice, as her family owns several Kona Ice trucks in the Lansing area!
