The Path to Leadership Alternative PK-12 Administrator Certification Program is hosting an accreditation visit by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) May 18, 2026 through May 20, 2026. This notice serves as a required public announcement of the upcoming accreditation review and site visit, which must occur not less than sixteen (16) weeks prior to the scheduled date of the site visit.
As part of the CAEP accreditation review process, we are required to solicit third-party comments on the quality of Path to Leadership, our professional education program. Interested parties are invited to submit their comments to the evaluation team.
Stakeholders who may wish to comment include, but are not limited to: full-time and adjunct faculty/educators, staff, candidates, cooperating administrators and/or mentors, completers, and employers.
When submitting written testimony regarding the quality of our program, please note the following requirements:
- Quality of the program: Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the professional education program offered.
- Your relationship to the program: Comments should specify the respondent’s relationship to the provider (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates).
- Program standards: Testimony should be based on the core tenets of CAEP accreditation standards of excellence. These standards recognize that:
- Accreditation is based on evidence that demonstrates that administrative candidates know the subject matter and can use it to effectively run a school building.
- EPPs must prove that candidates can connect theory to practice and be effective in an actual P-12 school building. An accredited professional education provider is expected to be involved in ongoing planning and evaluation, engaged in continuous assessment and development, and ensure that faculty and programs reflect new knowledge, practice, and technologies.
Comment Submission Details and Timeline:
We invite you to submit written testimony about your experience with Path to Leadership to CAEP. CAEP accepts written comments from stakeholders up to six (6) weeks before the site visit, which makes the deadline April 6, 2026.

Copies of all correspondence received will be sent to Path to Leadership/MASSP for comment prior to the review. MASSP’s response to any written comments must be received by CAEP no less than two (2) weeks prior to the site review. Third-party comments and MASSP’s responses, if any, are submitted in AIMS.
